Provisional Driving Licence

Before learning to drive you must possess a valid provisional driving licence. You can apply for one by filling an a DL1 form which are available in most post offices throughout Northern Ireland and the United Kingdom. As well as the DL1 form, you have to send original documentation that confirms who you are. Finally, you will need to send a passport style colour photograph.
